This one is old and needs to be rewritten to incorporate the advances in both research and treatment options, especially burosumab, but it's included as a classic. It also contains the seeds of what has later been confirmed with later research, like the acknowledgment that most XLHers develop widespread calcification of soft tissue much earlier in life than the general population.
